I would like to take this time to mention that there are a few “Christmas Rides” being held in various communities throughout the area. The annual APS sponsored parade in Phoenix has been replaced with some kind of “Virtual Parade” whatever that’s supposed to mean, but I am going to assume that it means it was cancelled. Getting back to the topic, I know of three neighborhood rides now, and are all on different days. For the most part, these are described on Facebook and other social media platforms that I personally do not use at all. I have met a fellow that is currently working for the city of Surprise and he gets information to me regarding these rides. These rides are not parades as we know it, but rather just organized rides through various communities like I said before.
All we do is decorate the rigs up with lights and Christmas themed decorations and cruise the neighborhoods, some will be blasting Christmas Music as well. I personally have not participated in any of these rides since this is the first Christmas that I have owned a rig.
Down to the details,
December 5th in Surprise, cruising the Greer Ranch area which is in the neighborhood roughly bordered by Reems, Cactus, Sarival and Peoria. Starting at the KOHLS parking lot at the intersection of REEMS and CACTUS at 6pm, December 5.
December 12th (hosted by Ali Bralley) in Surprise again. This years’ event will pay tribute to the Surprise Police Department. Support of the police and their awesome job they do to protect and serve the community! Starting at the Surprise Park, or Stadium parking lot at 15960 Bullard Ave in Surprise, AZ 85374 The route will be posted a few days before the event and is put on by The SXS Addicts. It is free and does not require any registration. If you have access to their Facebook page or other social media on which they may appear, you may be able to find more information as it becomes available.
December 18th (Friday) in Rancho Silverado, sponsored by BEGLEY Insurance Services, The Manning Real Estate Group, The John Chavez Team at VIP Mortgage and The Beauty Method. Starting at the intersection of 117th ave. and Williams, gathering at The Crossriver HOA Park at 5pm and starting at 7pm. This is the 4th annual ride.
If anyone needs more information about any of these rides, I have very limited sources and it would probably be better for you to look it up on social media. But, if I find out any more information, I’ll pass it along.
